A very unusual ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This unique?ring is crafted in 18kt gold and sterling silver, displaying a striking checkerboard motif decorating the large rectangular centerpiece. The sparkling mixed rose and mine?cut diamonds and luscious rubies line?the grid, resting?in a shared micro prong setting. The stones alternate down the centerpiece, with the rubies set in gold and the diamonds in silver, and the corners of each stone are decorated by additional tiny diamonds. Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.75?but could be easily resized. The centerpiece measures just over 3/4" long and 1/2" wide, and the tapered band measures 1.8mm wide at the back.
