The heel of the GT-1000 has integrated Gel technology to improve shock absorption and integrates FLYTEFOAM through the midsole for a softer and more supportive feeling at footstrike. 

In the medial side of the midsole, the DUOMAX support system is found where a more dense foam has been used to help reduce overpronation (pronounce inward rolling) and improve stability.
