Our comfortable and practical ¾ Tie Pants are back again in our iconic archive Hands Print from the Made by Hand Collection. The ¾ Tie Pants are unique in that they have a classic culotte silhouette with a bottom hem that ends mid-calf, and a wide leg bell that is so breathable and feels like you’re wearing a skirt, but still with the functionality and coverage of pants. Elasticated waistband and thin tie cord mean that you can wear these true to waist height and substitute the tie for a statement belt, or slightly lower for added room around the hips. Our Hand Print has been hand block printed in white over our Red Madder midweight Khadi Cotton, for the ultimate comfort and durability.
These pants can go from walking barefoot at the beach on a warm day, to elegant and classy with a heel and white button-up shirt for a smart business dinner or formal event with bold lipstick.
This collection features an all-over print of hands, which, since the Made by Hand collection, has an increased meaning and significance in our contemporary society. They symbolise the power of many – that collectively we have the power to change the world for the better. They symbolise the hands that create, the hands that make – celebrating the craftspeople who make our clothes, as well as the c craftspeople within our community. The hands that rise to be involved in the decision making of our future, and the strength of working together will make our world a safer, fairer and more sustainable one.
Designed in Fremantle, Western Australia. Made ethically from 100% hand-loomed Khadi Cotton in Pushkar, India by The Stitching Project. Designs are hand-carved onto wooden blocks. Then Pawan, our block printer at The Stitching Project, places each block onto the cloth after dipping the block into the ink board. This process is repeated hundred times over with amazing precision and experience to create the perfect patterns. All of our Dyes are Global Organic Textile Standards (G.O.T.S.) Certified and our fabric and processes are Craftmark Certified. Each of our Garments is proudly signed by every craftsperson who has had a hand in making it.
